Community Engagement

Changing How and Where We Tell and Make Stories

Our Community Mission

Shonkinite places Montana at the center of a community-driven multimedia movement, creating a unique ecosystem where storytelling and neuroscience intersect to create meaningful narratives.

Using the historic Shonkin Hall as a meeting place, the Shonkinite team organizes workshops and events that bring artists and scientists together to collaborate with each other and engage with the wider community. This interdisciplinary approach fosters innovation and ensures that stories are both scientifically informed and emotionally resonant.

Together, we're redefining how stories are told and experienced.

Community Impact

Our work extends beyond storytelling to create lasting positive change.

Through workshops, educational programs, and collaborative projects, Shonkinite is building a community of creators who understand both the art and science of effective storytelling. By bringing together diverse perspectives and disciplines, we're fostering innovation and ensuring that stories from Montana and beyond reach their full potential to connect, inspire, and transform.
