Our Story

Shonkinite, LLC is a Montana based development production company developing a slate of projects emphasizing the neuroscience and social impact of storytelling.

Shonkinite cultivates social impact by sourcing stories from real-world, lived experience. Using the media of film, television, fashion, and technology, these stories are brought to life with extraordinary writing, visuals, music, and artistry. Borderless in our thinking, we are a new breed of storytelling pioneers facilitating a transformation of the traditional industry model into one that champions story development.

Gabby Jeong

Gabby Jeong

Chief Operating Officer

Gabby’s love of storytelling began at age twelve years old when she discovered K-dramas. Captivated by the emotional depth, pacing, and character development, she became fluent in Korean. With a degree in East Asian Studies she immersed herself in the nuances of cross-cultural communication and storytelling traditions. In 2017, a translation job at a Los Angeles Pilates studio introduced her to Harper Klay. With their shared love of story, and drive to make a difference, Gabby has used her skills in research, communication and technology to develop all of the Shonkinite creative work. From cultural insight to character development and worldbuilding, Gabby enjoys helping stories feel layered, grounded, and resonant. She believes that the best storytelling—whether in drama, comedy, or something in between—stirs something universal while staying deeply personal and culturally specific. In addition Gabby identifies and applies the latest art tech tools and co-hosts and co-produces the Lingerie Shop Girl podcast, overseeing post-production, editing, and distribution.
